A massive standard covering Sampling and Testing Brick and Structural Clay Tile. It includes modules for absorption, efflorescence, and—critically for us—Compressive Strength and Modulus of Rupture. Since bricks are non-homogeneous, the test requires a spherical bearing block to accommodate non-parallel faces. MTO’s Masonry Package includes oversized platens and a high-debris-protection shield, as brick failures are often explosive and generate significant abrasive dust that can damage unprotected lead screws.
