Standard for Evaluating Properties of Wood-Base Fiber and Particle Panel Materials. Figure 11 refers to the Interlaminar Shear or Edge Shear test. This assesses the internal bond strength of the wood fibers. The fixture must support the panel edges while a shear tool pushes a center section through. MTO’s Timber Package includes these specialized shear jigs and high-travel displacement sensors to measure the ductility of the wood panels.
