Covers Testing Coated and Laminated Fabrics Used for Membrane Structures (like stadium roofs). It includes Adhesion of Coating to Fabric and Short-Term Creep. The technical challenge is the Anisotropy. Since these fabrics are heavily reinforced, MTO recommends Biaxial testing capabilities or, at minimum, high-force Wide-Grip tensile testing in both warp and weft directions. This is a high-margin lead for architectural fabric manufacturers where material failure could result in catastrophic structural collapse.
